Why use Zult Architecture

Architecture Icon

Trust without intermediaries

Transactions, ownership records, and compliance checks are validated by transparent, tamper-resistant blockchain protocols- removing the need to rely on centralized third parties like registrars, transfer agents, or clearing houses.

Architecture Icon

Resilience and security

Maintain integrity, availability, and protection of data through decentralized consensus, cryptographic safeguards, and fault-tolerant infrastructure—ensuring that no single point of failure or attack can compromise the platform.

Architecture Icon

Decentralized storage cost optimization

Optimizing data workloads for cost and security efficiency by leveraging cloud infrastructure with state-of-the-art security to reduce sole reliance on on-premises data storage and hardware security modules (HSM).

Architecture Icon

Automation and transparency

The use of smart contracts to execute rules, workflows, and transactions without manual intervention—while recording every action on an immutable ledger that stakeholders can independently verify in real time.

Architecture Icon

Seamless onboarding

Users can be verified, registered, and granted access through an integrated, compliance-aware workflow that automates compliance checks, wallet creation, and identity provisioning without friction or manual delays.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are smart contracts at Zult.io audited?

Yes, to ensure that the contract’s code is secure, reliable, and behaves exactly as intended, before it is deployed on the blockchain.

How does Zult.io handle transfer restrictions and compliance rules?

Zult.io handles transfer restrictions and compliance rules through a combination of smart contracts, on-chain identity frameworks, and off-chain verification systems—all designed to ensure that every asset transfer complies with relevant laws, such as U.S. securities regulations.

– Smart contracts: Set transfer conditions (e.g., Know Your customer status, lock-up periods, investor accreditation) that are programmed directly into the token smart contract.

– On-chain identity frameworks: Wallet addresses of authorized users will reside on an on-chain whitelist.

– Off-chain verification: Transfers may route through a compliance service or transfer agents before executing the transaction.

Can Zult.io pause or free assets in an emergency?

Yes, there are cases where transactions can be paused – usually when there is a concern that the transaction may be fraudulent or there is a regulatory order in effect. Similarly, the related assets can be frozen as an emergency measure until the concerns have been resolved.

Are smart contracts at Zult.io audited?

The foundational security measures embedded directly into the core rules, logic, and infrastructure of our platform is designed to ensure that data, transactions, and system integrity are secure by default.

Are my personal and investment data kept save?

Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is stored only in an off-chain database and/or client application. When data is transmitted as part of our operations, it is done so under encryption and only those with the need to access the data will have access.

How are token holder records secured and updated?

Token holder records are made up of two components: data on the blockchain (“on-chain”) and data on traditional databases and applications (“off-chain”).  Confidential or Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is stored off-chain and secured.  Both on-chain and off-chain records are routinely updated as transactions take place, but access is limited to authorized users and security procedures are in place for both on-chain and off-chain use and reconciliation.

What protections are in place against hacks or exploits?

Protection is provided in layers.
1. Off-chain database and applications utilize the same security and privacy features you would expect from a financial services organization.
2. On-chain/Blockchain security is provided by the underlying blockchain and the cryptography involved.
3. Smart contract: Only Zult-approved contracts can be utilized and these have their own security features.
4. Client: Wallets provide their own security features so wallet selection is also important.  (See Wallet section of FAQ)

How does Zult.io protect investor assets and wallets?

Zult.io utilizes a multi-layer architecture and cryptographic security features to keep wallets safe. Wallet security is important and can depend on the user’s choice of wallet and features. As a baseline, we encourage users to select a wallet protected by a unique private key, secured using recognized encryption standards (e.g., AES-256) and have recovery features. An individual’s wallet should also feature multi-factor authentication, while an institution should select a multi signature wallet.

Zult.io secures investor assets through end-to-end cryptography, offer regulated custody options, and focus on smart contract enforcement to deliver on the security and privacy you expect.

What happens if I lose access to my wallet?

Zult.io does not recommend wallets with user controlled keys – lost keys are lost forever without a backup. So if you choose this option, do prioritize a secure backup. Custodial wallets have procedures to facilitate recovery of the wallet access keys and multi-factor authentication ensures only you can request a key recovery.
